Is it weird for a man to wear Ugg boots?
First Off: Apple it needs to get her facts straight before she answers along with a few others. UGG is nothing more then a generic word used to discribe a type and style of boots made from sheepskin in AUSTRALIA. UGG boots were first made aand worn by sheepfarmers and there sons arround 200 years ago to keep there feet warm and dry on the farm. Women didnt wear UGG boots because they were considered "functional"footwear worn for the sole purpose of keeping the farmer and his sons barefeet warm and dry. During World War II pilots on bombing missions wore the clic tall chestnut boots they refered to there boots as "FUGGS" which had nothing to do with being "knock-offs" but the pilots called the UGG boots "FUGGS" which meant "FLYING UGGS". Again UGG boots were worn by men with the sole function or purpose of keeping there feet warm and dry. Now into the 1970's when male surfers wore UGG boots on the beach in the summer, spring and fall for the function and purpose of keeping there barefeet warm and dry on the beach after surfing. On to the present day, many male celebrities wear UGG boots like Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher, The Rolling Stones, Justin Timberlake to name a few.Again mens footwear serves a purpose or function. So for the last 200years UGG clic short and tall boots have been primarily worn by men and boys.Since the clic short and tall styles were worn mainly by men and boys and were considered to be primarily mens boots and guys don't really care about whats on there feet or how the term UGHLY boots came into play. It wasn't until early to the mid 2000's that UGG boots caught on with women and girls when Oparah declared UGG boots as one of her favorite things.
