Aztec/Northern Native American Trade?

This isn't much of an answer because I also sometimes wonder that myself, but I will write it. lol The colorful feathers that some Native tribes use to make their regalia can probably be held as evidence of trading amongst other Natives in Mexico and South America because I can't think of any birds that bright that are indigenous to America. There are also alot of oral history stories by different Native American tribes that say that their people came from the South(as in South America) then settled in their now homelands.
