Im new to this audio thing?

Well that's a half way decent sub so you'll want good stuff powering it, for the wiring get anything bigger than 4 gauge because if you go smaller to like 6 gauge, you start losing power to the amp. Make sure the brand of wire you get isn't some cheap $&@! From walmart. In wiring you want to spend a little extra to make sure you have everything all good. For the amp I have no clue because it really depends on how much you want to spend, for this sub spend the little more to get an amp that won't blow your sub and won't cut it out
